Tribute to Professor Katherine Min

Mesha Maren ’12 and Randal O’Wain ’12 returned to campus in October as the visiting writers for the first Katherine Min Alumni Reading. Both alumni authors shared recent works with current students. Maren’s Sugar Run came out in January to incredible reviews, including a NY Times Book Review by Charles Frazier. O’Wain’s work has been featured in Oxford American, Guernica, The Pinch, Booth, Hotel Amerika, storySouth, among others and his memoir, Meander Belt: Family, Loss, and Coming of Age in the Working-Class South, was published in October.
