Black student artists took to the streets to show their support for the Black Lives Matter movement by painting a massive mural of the phrase “Black Lives Matter” along University Heights on the UNC Asheville campus on Wednesday, Sept. 30.
The event also featured performances from students on the quad. The mural took about 8 hours to complete and was created with permanent road paint. It will remain on University Heights indefinitely.
