You might measure a year at UNC Asheville in the number of all-nighters students spent finishing final papers, or ounces (gallons?) of coffee required by faculty to finish grading exams, or how many sheets of paper it would take to print out all the emails in any one staff member's inbox. This year, you might measure it in the number of minutes spent washing hands, the number of times we've forgotten to mute the mic, or just the number of times someone reached out to us to offer help on a challenging day.
There are some things we can't measure, but you might be surprised by some of the numbers we have collected from the past year (spoiler alert: we spent A LOT of time on Zoom).
